Dr Jacqui Nicholson

Dr Jacqui Nicholson joined the East Sydney Doctors Team in 2019. A country girl at heart, she grew up in Orange NSW, but is now enjoying all that Inner Sydney has to offer!

Prior to embarking on general practice, she worked for a number of years as a registrar in general surgery and urology. She is experienced in performing minor surgical procedures under local anaesthetic within the GP setting, including skin lesions and Implanon insertion. She is also passionate about sexual and mental health.

Jacqui is an avid traveller and likes to integrate this passion with her clinical practice. Amongst other adventures, she completed expedition medicine studies whilst trekking to Everest Base Camp, and became a qualified ski instructor in Switzerland. She has also volunteered in clinics around remote areas of Papua New Guinea, East Timor and Solomon Islands. She currently supplements her general practice by supporting paramedics on offshore vessels and rigs, as well as conducting international medical escorts and retrievals.

In her spare time you’ll find her relaxing outdoors, walking the family labradoodle, or in a reformer pilates class. She’ll probably mention the extensive benefits that exercise has on our physical health and mental wellbeing.
