Appointments

East Sydney Doctors is a privately billing practice, however Bulk Billing is available for children under 16 and those with a Centrelink Health Care Card or on a disability pension, bookings for these patients are between 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday.

To minimize waiting times please book all appointments in advance. A number of appointments are left open each day for patients requiring urgent attention.

The practice also holds a daily '6 minute clinic' where existing patients can see the doctor on duty for a 6 minute consultation. The express clinic is ideal for patients who need a repeat prescription. The consultation will last for no more than 6 minutes. 

Standard appointment times are 15 minutes. If you are a NEW patient you will require a 30 minute appointment. If you have a complex problem or more than one issue that needs to be discussed, please tell the receptionist when making your booking so a longer appointment can be arranged.

Please note that medical emergencies and sick children are always given priority. Our doctors spend as much time as necessary with every patient, so sometimes there are delays. Again you can help us by making a long appointment for complex or multiple problems.

You are free to change your appointment at any time, however the practice has a cancellation fee policy for appointments cancelled with less than 2 hours notice. The cancellation fee is $20.00, except for Dr Caroline West, whose cancellation fee is 50% of the consultation fee and Dr Ercel Ozser where the full consultation fee is applied.  Please be aware that there are often patients with urgent problems who can see the doctor in that time. 

Should no notice be given or you do not turn up for your appointment you may be charged the FULL consultation fee.

Please provide 48 hours notice if you are unable to attend an appointment with the psychologist as all cancelled appointments without sufficient notice will incur a cancellation fee.
